Flower Hill Farm is an enchanting hillside paradise located in Western Massachusetts. The owner, artist/plantswoman Carol Duke, has spent more than 25 years cultivating gardens that abound with organic flowering plants, shrubs and trees. Throughout the growing season Carol harvests iris, peonies, lilies, flowering crabapple, lilac and more while the evening mist or morning dew still clings to the petals. She uses these stems, branches and their blossoms for lines, forms and textures in imaginative bouquets arranged in a spontaneous, relaxed manner. In her arrangements, Carol supplements the flora of Flower Hill with only the freshest, loveliest flowers available from other local growers and flower markets.

For weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, anniversaries and other gala affairs, Carol works closely with the client, achieving a magical ambience with the living art of flowers. Her floral artistry reflects the mood that the client wishes to convey and lasts well beyond the occasion. Whatever the budget, the result is an unusual display of flowers.

The aesthetic charm of Flower Hill Farm and Carol Duke's arrangements reflect her fine arts background, which includes weaving, photography and painting. Her distinctive flower arranging has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles. Carol's wild, romantic yet restrained flower arranging style and her striking flower photography are featured in the books Fine Flowers by Phone and the original Angelic Messenger Cards.

Carol is committed to purchasing fair trade and organic (when possible) flowers, when not able to gather them from her own garden or buy from other local growers.

Carol Duke offers workshops in flower arranging at her studio at Flower Hill Farm and lectures throughout the Northeast.
